PEACH COBBLER RECIPE


Learning to make Peach Cobbler was at the top of my list because its one of my husbands favorites. Its so good and makes the perfect dessert all year round. Here’s my tried and true recipe. It’s definitely a house favorite.

Peach Filling:

8 large fresh peaches, peeled, pitted and sliced. Or 2 cans of peaches (3 if you’re feeling extra peachy)

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup sugar

1 tsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

2 tsp cornstarch

Crust: 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup sugar

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 stick of butter cut into cubes

1/3 cup boiling water

Crust topping:

sugar

cinnamon

Preheat oven to 425°

If you’re using fresh peaches.

Peel your peaches. remove seed and slice them up. Add to a bowl

Add in your brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice and nutmeg and cornstarch over your peaches.

Stir until your peaches are coated.

Pour into an ungreased baking dish.Bake it for 10 minutes, then remove from oven.

In a mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder and salt together.

Then mix butter into flour mixture and blend until mixture becomes crumbly.

Add in boiling water and stir until combined.

Add mixture over peaches

Make sure it’s all coated.

Add sugar and cinnamon over your topping

Bake for 35 minutes

Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream. YUM!
