Okay so here goes, this is my first official mommy post! So I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy about 4 months ago, which feels like yesterday. Anyhow while I was pregnant I experienced so many things that no one ever mentioned (and I’ve been around a lot of pregnant women). SO I decided I would share a few things that I wish I would’ve known before hand.
1. Morning Sickness
Also know as all day sickness, anytime of the day sickness, it might last your whole pregnancy sickness. Okay so maybe I was just naive but I thought morning sickness was just in the morning and only during your first trimester ( first 3 months) of being pregnant. WRONGGGGG! I literally experienced it all day, every day up until I gave birth. I totally understand that some women do not experience it all and some only experience it during their first trimester but I’m just speaking form my own experience here.
2. Pregnancy Glow
So most of the time when you see a pregnant women their hair is really full and their skin is GLOWING. So automatically when I found out I was pregnant I though oh my gosh I’m about to have the absolute most perfect smooth skin ever. WRONGGGGGG!!! I looked like a teenager that was going through puberty most of my pregnancy. My son literally drained me and made me hideous. On top of that I was huge and too lazy to do my make up. However one the bright side my son is literally the cutest baby ever so I guess it kind of makes sense now.
3. 9 Months Pregnant
9 months pregnant aka 10 months pregnant. SO I did not know that you are actually pregnant 10 months and not 9. A full term baby is 40 weeks. there are usually 4 weeks in a month. 4 divided by 40 is 10. Making pregnancy 10 months. Y’all when I say that I was truly appalled and low-key upset. I’ve really been believing that pregnancy is 9 months for as long as I can remember but boy was I WRONGGGGGG again.
So despite all of these things that no one tells you about pregnancy it truly is the most beautiful thing ever. I would definitely go through it all again because being a mom is totally worth it!
I hope you enjoyed this post ! Please like comment and share.
