Children's Museum of the Arts is a non-profit art museum introducing children and families to contemporary art exhibitions and art-making workshops. Lots of creative fun for kids!
FDNY Fire Zone
"The Fire Zone is New York City’s state-of-the-art fire-safety learning center. At the Fire Zone you can climb on a realistic fire truck, try on bunker gear, meet a firefighter and learn how to crawl through a smoke-filled hallway. New York Transit Museum

Brooklyn Botanical Gardens
There are 7 Botanical Gardens to check out. Brooklyn Botanical Garden is the one I frequent the most. It is just an absolutely beautiful place to take a nice stroll with the kids. Awesome photo opportunities! Its also a great place to sit and have a little picnic. Beautiful flowers to smell, so many tall and unique trees and lots of land for your little one to rip and run through!
