Black Ink's reality star, Sky was suspended from the VH1 show after having an altercation with her 19-year-old son, Des.
Des was attempting to patch things up with his mom after she accused him of stealing. However, the fight escalated when Des called his mother a "dumb*ss". This comment fueled Sky's anger and her attempt to fight her son caused the production crew to rush in and calm the water. Still heated, Sky tells her son," I wish I would have aborted you. Why I ain't swallow you. Your Daddy don't want you. Nobody wants you!"
These heartbreaking devastated Des and most likely fed into any insecurities he may have already had. Running to the aide of Black Ink's owner, Caesar, Des was told that is how Skye is and how he needs to get to use it. What a poor answer to give to a child that was just told by his mother that she should have aborted him?
Approximately 2 years ago, Sky recently reunited with her children after putting them up for adoption. As if it was not enough that he was dealing with abandonment issues, he now must live with the vile words that spewed out his mother's mouth. Sky's Instagram live response resulted in her using the blanketed line of God knowing her, blaming her behavior on an undiagnosed mental illness while twerking to Nicki Minaj's "Yikes". She displayed no type of accountability for her actions and even alluded to the fact Des is not an angel. Although no one is exonerating Des from calling his mom out of her name,
it is very sad she does not understand the dangers of her words.
Once words are uttered, there are no returns. Mental wounds are always the slowest to heal and I pray for Des' sake he takes the time to heal and gets the support he needs.
